Radar: anima - love, lies and forgiveness

published on

It is not often that one gets to glance at a piece of work and to notice that what is to come is something special, like in those initial steps walking away from home where you can tell there will be a great story to be told.

Anima brings sound that stands out not just for what it is in plain composition, but for what it is trying to say in an era where musicians often strive for just the most pleasant, melodically sticky playlist-able songs, in that way love, lies and forgiveness stands out,  rather feeling like a statement disrupting the barriers of each of the genres it touches on: dnb, breakcore, glitch and even tiny hints of lo-fi, all dancing and converging into this unique piece that is hard to compare to a single artist or movement, which in itself feels like the antithesis for the plethora of AI "productions" that base themselves on repeating patterns and hyper defined cliches, it's in that way that love, lies and forgiveness makes sense, a description of human features that are well represented as a full EP

As it's rather common for emerging artists like anima, at the time of writing this note they haven't shared their tracks on major streaming platforms, but I encourage you to directly support them at their Bandcamp and their socials @animameavivit!
